Air Operational Terminology Course

      Air Operational Terminology Course was conducted between 09-20 February 2009 at Air Technical Schools Commandership-Air Defence School Gaziemir-İzmir/TÜRKİYE, cooperation with NATO ACT HQ. The aim of the course is to instruct partner and NATO aircrew, controllers and operators in terminology, procedures and the use of operational expressions to allow NATO and Partner aircraft to fly together in a combined Peace Support Operation or any future multinational air operation or exercise.

      Totally 11 participants from 5 NATO (Türkiye 5), 5 Partnership for Peace (Belarus 2, Bosnia Herzegovina 1, Serbia 1 and Austria 1), and 1 Mediterranean Dialogue (Egypt 1) Countries attended the course.

        The instructor team consisted of 6 instructors from both Turkish Air Forces and General Directorate of State Airports Authority of Turkey.
