Border Security Control Course
Border Security Control Course was conducted between 07-11 December 2009 at PfP Training Center / Ankara. The aim of the course is to examine the border problems and agreements, study missions, authorities and responsibilities of the commanders of the border units, rules for military forbidden and security zones, study general principles for the protection of international refugees, illegal immigration and human trafficking, use NATO approved maps, charts and map symbology, operate under NATO Rules of Engagements (RoE), support Information Operations, implement operational security orders, develop intelligence plans and estimates, conduct target acquisition and locating, study the relation between organized crimes and border security.
Totally 40 participants from NATO (Turkey, Albania), Partnership for Peace (Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Turkmenistan, Ukraine), MD (Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Tunisia) ICI (UAE) and Other UN Member (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Pakistan) countries attended the course.
The instructor team consisted of 13 instructors from ICRC, Turkish Customs, Turkish General Staff, Turkish Military Electronics, Turkish National Police, Turkish Red Crescent and UNHCR.
