Refugees Management in Peace Support Operations (PSO) Course

            Refugees Management in Peace Support Operations (PSO) Course was conducted between 19-23 October 2009 at Gendarmerie Schools Command / Ankara. The aim of the course is to inform the military and civilian personnel at the level of execution and planning of refugees management. The course was conducted in one week program composed of mainly lectures, seminars and syndicate works.

            Totally 22 participants from NATO (Albania and Turkey), Partnership for Peace (Azerbaijan, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Moldova and Ukraine), MD (Egypt, Jordan and Tunisia), ICI (United Arab Emirates) and Other UN Member (Bangladesh) countries attended the course.

            The instructor team consisted of 14 instructors from Başkent University, European Commission, Turkish Red Crescent, International Committee of the Red Cross, International Organization for Migration, UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Turkish Gendarmerie General Command.
