Combating Trafficking In Human Beings (CTHB) Course 

 

     CTHB Course was conducted between 22-26 November 2010 at PfP Training Center / Ankara. The aim of the course is to teach basic information concerning international agreements about THB, methods and tactics of human traffickers, investigation methods and techniques on THB, general principles for the protection (safety) of refugees, illegal immigration and THB, necessary measures against THB and international cooperation, NATO policy on CTHB, impact of THB on NATO-led operations, duties of NATO-led forces in preventing THB, case studies on a THB scenario.

 

    Totally 27 participants from 5 NATO (Albania 2, Czech Republic 1, France 1, Netherlands 1, Slovakia 1), 7 Partnership for Peace (Belarus 3, BIH 2, Georgia 1, Kazakhstan 2, Macedonia 1, Moldova 1, Ukraine 1), 4 MD (Algeria 2, Egypt 2, Jordan 2, Morocco 1), 1 ICI (Qatar 1) and 2 Other UN Member (Afghanistan 1, Bangladesh 1) countries attended the course.

  

    The instructor team consisted of 11 instructors from EUROPOL (1), Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1), Gendarmerie General Command (1), Turkish National Police (1), IOM (3), Foundation of Human Resources Development (2), NATO School (1), and UNHCR (1).
