Levent VEZİR Colonel
Colonel Levent VEZİR was born in Adana in 1965. He graduated from Kuleli Military High School in 1983, Military Academy in 1987 and was commissioned as an Engineer Officer. He served as Platoon and Company Commander in various units until 1998.
He attended the War College between 1998 and 2000. Having graduated from the College, he served as a staff officer in the 5th Corps HQ in Çorlu and Logistics Division of Land Forces HQ in Ankara from 2000 to 2004. During this period, he served in Kosovo as Operational and Training Plan Officer of Turkish Battalion Task Force for six months tour and attended Command and Staff College in Pakistan.
Colonel Vezir served as Commander of 3rd Mountain and Commando Battalion in 2004-2006 in Şemdinli /Hakkari. Following this service, he was assigned to the International Military Staff, Cooperation and Regional Security Division at NATO HQ in Brussels as Action Officer for three years.
Colonel Vezir was appointed as Chief of Staff (COS) of 20th Armoured Brigade in Şanlıurfa in 2009. In 2010, he was assigned as Commander of the Turkish Partnership for Peace Training Center. Col. Vezir is married to Mrs. Özlem Vezir and they have one daughter. He speaks English and French. |
