The Law of Armed Conflict (LOAC) Course
The Law of Armed Conflict Course
was conducted between 24 October-04 November
2011 at PfP Trainig Center /
Ankara. The aim of the course is to provide military and civilian personnel an
appropriate balance of academic and practical knowledge in the principal areas
of international law relating to the Law of Armed Conflict (LoAC) and to enable
participants to acquire ability and knowledge o the broad field of the
Law of Armed Conflict.
Totally 61 participants (from 1
Austria, 1 Australia, 1 Azerbaijan, 2 Bangladesh, 1 Belarus, 2
Bosnia-Herzegovina, 1 Canada, 1 Greece, 1 Jordan, 2 Kazakhstan, 1 Kuwait, 1
Macedonia, 1 Pakistan, 2 Slovakia, 2 Slovenia, 1 Tajikistan, 7 Turkey, 1
Turkmenistan, 4 United Arab Emirates and 2 Ukraine and 22 NTM-Iraqi attendees )
attended the course.
The instructor team consisted of
11 instructors from Başkent University (1), Irish Ministry of Defence (1), NATO
School (1), Turkish General Staff Judge Advocate Generals (1), Turkish Army (2),
Center of Excellence Defense Against Terrorism (1), Turkish PfP Training Center
(2), International Committee of the Red Cross-Brussels (1), United Nations High
Commissioner for Refugees (1).
